Jan Geerts (1988) joined Saffelberg Investments in 2014 as financial analyst. He is responsible for financial analysis, business analysis, financial modelling and valuations of investment opportunities.
Prior to joining Saffelberg Investments Jan Geerts worked as a financial auditor in the audit practice of Deloitte Belgium, in particular within the financial services industry (banking, insurance, funds). In this period he was mainly involved in audit engagements, during which he acquired a thorough understanding of accounting standards (BE-GAAP as well as IFRS), internal control and risk management. Occasionally he was also involved in non-audit activities, such as due diligence and asset quality review.
Jan Geerts graduated “summa cum laude” as commercial engineer from the Solvay Business School (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) in 2011, specializing in accountancy and finance.
