Saffelberg Investments was founded by Belgian entrepreneur Jos Sluys after the successful merger of ARINSO International with Northgate Informations Systems in 2007. NorthgateArinso (NGA) became a global market leader in HR Services & Technology with revenues of 700 million euro.

ARINSO was founded in 1994 and ended 2007 with total sales of 204 million euro and more than 2,500 staff in 27 countries. ARINSO was floated on Euronext Brussels in 2000 and later listed on LSE as part of Northgate Information Solutions plc. In December 2007, private equity fund KKR launched a take-over bid on NorthgateArinso (NGA), valuing the group at 780 million euro, after which the company was delisted and taken private.

In 2019, Alight Solutions, a leader in benefits, payroll and cloud solutions, announced it completed its acquisition of NGA Human Resources.  The combined organization brings an enhanced level of technological capabilities, functional expertise and geographic reach across benefits, payroll and HR solutions to its global client base.

 

Alight / NGA has more than 4,500 employees in 35 countries, and administers and rewards 3 million employees in over 100 countries.
